Alternate Cygnar color schemes

Hi there I'm new to Warmachine and am about to start a Cygnar force. The problem is that after far to many ultramarines, I'm tired of painting standard blue, which of course is the main color of the Cygnar army. I'm in a bind because I'm not really that good with decidng color combinations on my own, but I figured the experienced artists on this forum could help me out

I don't want anything to radical, I just don't want the primary color of my Warjacks to be blue, and I want them to look nice!

My Initial thought was:
Primary Armor color: Khaki
Secondary Armor color: Blue
Cloth color: Dark Grey
and then make the metal a mix of bronze and steel

Do you think that will work? I'm a little worried about the khaki making look to Menoth-y but I think this combination would look good on the mostly grey tabletop I play on. Anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks for looking!

I'm a fan of the khaki. My initial goal on my scheme was to go with the colors of the Dark Angels chapter. I'm a slow painter (actually, I paint fast, when I paint), so I've only finished one model in 18 months, but you can get a general idea. I love my Centurion, and I get comments on the color scheme all the time.

I'm looking at a similar scheme, except possiblly some variant of Rucksack Tan for the main color. It will be a lot like the scheme used by the lovely and talented Dead Dog on their Brushthrall website.

The unfortunate part is that eNemo is the only guy I've got a photo of for my Cygnar.

And since starting Cygnar oh...before the first rule book was even out, they are of varying levels of good/bad and not even all that coherent when it comes to Colour scheme.

Nemo is an example of what they'll all sorta look like when I redo them with the new kits/scultps, but since that's not going to happen till I finish all the Retribution I've got, it's going to be a bit before I'll have pics of it..:3

Recipe for the whites if you wouldn't mind sharing? I really like the soft shade color to get the off white.

I didn't realy like the smurf blue cygnar very much and decided to do a mostly metallic scheme with blue accents. I like how it turned out. I haven't done any progress pics since these first few, but I will try to take a few new ones and update my plog soon.

It is a base of RMS Lenin White with a light brown varnish on it. The highlights and bright white places like the swans are repainted after the varnish has gone dry.

That's because your Gencon submission for eCaine's battlegroup was the inspiration for me to get off of my butt and paint something. What does your Hunter's arm say? Mine says "Ace".
